Changes afoot at Pendle, whilst the fish keep coming

Having recently spoken to the new owners at Pendle View, North West Carp can confirm that several improvements to the venue are in the pipeline following the recent take over. Digging has recently begun on the stock ponds to create another match lake, and several swims have been realigned to prevent lines crossing from anglers fishing nearby swims. The Match Lake has been restocked and it is the intention to net the Main Lake in the near future. Additional plans also include the introduction of new features such as an island in the Main Lake.

Irrespective of this, catches remain consistent, with anglers banking a number of specimens to 36lb 9oz over the last week. Paul Turner on peg 7 had a 20lb 2oz mirror on maggot, Mr P. Leonard had 14lb 8oz common on peg 71\72 on Tutti Frutti, Mr S. Green had the catch of the week on 29\30 with a common of 36lb 9oz, taken on a pineapple Cotswold Baits pop-up. Mr G .Hilton on 24\25 had a 16lb mirror and a 4lb 8oz common, David and Minnie Jones on peg 24\25 had a 17lb ghost mirror on pineapple bottom bait, Mr J. Sheild had a 20lb mirror, and Mr. S Riley on peg 61\62 had fish of 17lb , 8lb, 12lb, and a 6lb.
