Old Carp Lake continues to produce

This week at Llyn Y Gors the Pleasure Lake has continued to fish in spectacular form. Cliff Riley who tormented the lake last week with a 150lb bag with son Wayne had a great session once again which included the weighing in of a 9lb 7oz Mirror Carp. Cliff decided to fish 10mm Nash Tutti Frutti and 10mm Banana boilies close to the margins and a whole host of fish succumbed to the temptation.

Likewise Chris Coe continues to catch regularly on The Pleasure Lake with some great Carp throughout night sessions up to a maximum of 8lb. However rogue 3½lb Barbel consistently picked up even 15mm boilies to add some competitive sport to the angling sessions. Nick Slater also joined in on the action with a great 80lb of Carp on The Pleasure Lake during his day off proving the sublime form the lake is in at the moment.

The Old Carp Lake is also proving to be in good form with quite a few fish caught this week. Nick Slater managed to bank a 9½lb Common Carp whilst Chris Coe alongside him also caught a couple of Carp bordering to the 8-9lb mark. Rob Blinkho and his friends have started their holiday week with three fish banked up to 11lb and quite a few lost fish as well. Hopefully this great form of angling will continue next week whilst Thompson’s Pool has been quiet for the first time in a while!

Some really exciting news also to Llyn Y Gors this week is the progression of the new huge tackle shop which is being built. The shop measures more than twice the size of the current tackle shop and is currently being fitted with all the required heating and electricity for the grand opening  - hopefully in a month’s time.
