Caravan site resident Nigel Hill had an action packed day session, fishing peg 30 on the Match Lake. Nigel who fished pellet and meat on the pole had over 70lb of carp and barbel. Local angler Paul Jones fished a couple of short morning sessions also on the Match Lake and had well over 50 lb of fish in each session. Paul fished chopped worm and caster and caught some cracking roach over 1lb.Small 10 mm boilies continue to produce carp over 8lb on the Pleasure Lake and method feeder is proving good option fishing close to the reed beds. Maggot and worm will get you perch over 1lb 8oz. The pike season is in flow now with plenty of pike caught around the 8 lb - 10 lb mark on the Old Carp Lake. The majority of fish caught on sprat and lamprey. ![]() Local angler John Aspinall broke his personal best twice on a 24 hour session on Thompson's Pool. John broke his previous best by over 3 lb with a lovely 19lb common followed then by another common weighing 22lb. John fished the "Aquarium" on his favourite Mainline Maple 8 boilies.
