Single Hookbait Success!

Forum member Lee, aka 'Carp Catcher' recently took a cracking fish from Pendle View Fisheries. He and a friend planned a four-day stint on the venue, which after a slow start to their trip, left Lee with little confidence.

His particle and pellet approach had proved unsuccessfull, and with only one fish for their efforts, a 10lb Grass Carp, Lee decided a change of tactics was needed. They opted for a lighter baiting appraoch, and started to use golf-ball sized PVA bags, and eneded up fishing single hookbaits. Lee was under the impression that it was to be a blank session, but shortly before packing up, his rod rattled off, and Lee bent into what felt like a good fish. Suprised at what was going on, he lead the fish to the awaiting net, and was 'well chuffed' when he saw the common in his net.

She pulled his scales round to 26lb 2oz to make him one very happy angler! A big well done from everyone at NorthWestCarp.
