Aaron Cheetham had an excellent week resident in Dilly Dally with father Dave. Both fished match and pleasure, Aaron's best bag a cracking 80 lb of carp during a short 3 hour session. Aaron opted for floating bread catching carp to over 5 lb. Across on the Old Carp Lake, lake record holder Chris Burgess enjoyed another action packed session banking over 12 fish. Chris fished the "Old Bay" on a variety of baits. Two catfish to 15 lb 4 oz, fell to Squid and Octopus pop-ups, two ghosties weighing 20 lb and 14 lb were caught on floating bread, whilst eight carp, the biggest 11 lb, were all caught on Richworth Tutti Frutti boilies.Caravan site resident Mark Bagshaw landed a quick-fire brace during a short stalking session on the Old Carp Lake. Mark chose chum mixers and some artificial bread during a red hot afternoon and was straight into the action landing a common of 13 lb on a chum mixer. A mirror of 7 lb followed on floating artificial bread, not bad for a half hour session!!!!. Youngster Arwyn Roberts was overjoyed when he caught a personal best 12 lb 6 oz mirror during a day session on "The Front" swim. Arwyn caught the lovely looking mirror on Dynamite Spicy Chicken boilies. Ryan Pickering netted his first ever catfish during a weekend session. The youngster from Stoke On Trent fished Smart Baits' 21mm Halibut pellet, picking the 14 lb 8 oz cat from "Derek's Mountain". Bob Wilson also in search of his first cat, went home a happy man after landing a moggie of 15 lb 8 oz. Bob fished Steve's Swim again in Smart Baits' 21 mm Halibut Pellet. ![]() The Ward's were at it again on Thompson's Pool, father Bob managed a 21 lb mirror whilst Marc settled for a chunky 10 lb mirror introduced to monitor growth in Thompson's Pool. Bob fished "The Aquarium" on Heathrow Baits Red Indian boilies, Marc was next door in "The Well" tempting his fish on Heathrow M&M boilies. |
