Highfield Fisheries opened in July 2003 offering anglers the chance to fish for specimen carp in relaxed surroundings. If it’s hassle free fishing you are after, then Highfield is probably the place for you. All the swims offer lots of space and you can even get all your tackle dropped off at the swim!![]() Overview Although only opened in 2003, Oak Lake is maturing well beyond its years and extends to four acres in size, and features three islands, many bays, and channels of varying depths. Each angler has a designated fishing area with features in every swim, and with only eight swims on the lake, you know you are going to have plenty of room to stretch your legs and cover a good amount of water. ![]() Stock Oak Lake contains approximately 165 carp, all of which are proven and documented English fish, many supplied via Mark Simmonds. A staggering 75% of these fish are estimated to be over 20lb, with three or four mirrors and one common around the thirty pound mark; the common just over. Notes Location: Situated in Hambleton close to the A588. Allowances: Maximum of three rods, night fishing, Barbless hooks only, No fixed leads, No nut baits, Highfield Pellets only (available on site).
