I was correct, it was just camping.
I counted 11 bivvies on the bank, anyone would think it was a weekend.

Saw an otter this morning at 6am, cruising along tight to the far rush line, if I had known for definate that one was on the lake again, there is no way I would have renewed my permit.
Chance of a refund is slim I suppose.

......and the weather forecast was wrong, it rained last night, not much, but enough to soak my old titan.

I've not caught a carp since early January, things better change soon.

hard frosts again from sunday night well into next week. Might slow the carp waking off a bit and the fair weathers march to the banks.

.....AND THE SAME AGAIN TONIGHT, ON THE "OTTER PEN".
At least it should stay dry, snow given out for Friday and Saturday.

I'm working today,(double pay and a lieu day for it) but I'm sure to go fishing tomorrow morning, airport pick up late afternoon.

The local weather doesn't look too inviting though.

Fished Thursday evening until yesterday early afternoon, was planning on doing until today but after enduring 50+ mph bitterly cold winds, at times torrential rain, hailstone, and then the snow on Easter Sunday decided to throw the towel in

Hooked a tufty that came off on the bank, landed a coot, and an 18lb pike hooked in the scissors that picked up a double bottom bait, had a mouthful of freebies as well that it had picked up

Reckon it was one of those sessions that you have to go through occasionally to make the good ones all the more worthwhile
