Don't mind to be honest, it keeps the noddy's indoors, and the fish don't mind getting wet!

I don't mind the odd few days of rain but it gets a bit stupid when it carries on for weeks on end . Mind you it can sometimes get the carp mooching around a bit more with the rain oxygenating the water etc.

Rain again today, I'm happy really. At least it doesn't make me want to stop revising and go fishing....

...Although I don't want a full downpoor when i do finally break out. Don't mind rain, but don't wana be washed out for the entire sesison - I hate packing up with wet kit.

Bin bags and ice cream tubs, never leave home without em if I'm expecting it to rain, especially if its a day session with just the brollie.

Camera, torch, mobile, etc sealed in the tub and holdall/rucksack, baits and stuff in the bin bags. Elastic band to keep the bags closed and you can stick em outside your brollie giving you plenty of room underneath!

Did the dreaded walk to the far bank woods pegs on booths mere monday afternoon as the meadow bank was stiched up, the field was 10 inches deep in bog and water, it was lashing down making my mountain of gear twice as heavy. A barrow is out of the questionwith the field in the state it is.

That walk is further than i thought, very nearly killed me, i was dreading the return leg the whole time i sat there in the rain!!

Never again! EVER!

Weather has been a real pain today, sun one minute, blustery winds the next with rain and hail - wasn't fun doing the work party this morning, got soaked.

Im sorry but i certainly cant agree with anyone saying the rains ok, to much and its a total pain in the a*se..

1) You go fishing, the banks start to overflow, your swims usually a boggy mess and you get wet!!
2) Dog owners, You walk the dog... '3 times a day'... you get wet!!!
3) You cycle to work... you get wet!!
4) You walk to the shop for lunch.... you get wet!!
5) You walk to the pub after work.... you get wet!!
6) You work on the garden... you get wet!!!

The list is endless.. Im pretty sure i could make a bigger list with all the negatives about rain than the plus's... i agree with the fact we need rain and the occasional down pour can be quite nice, even good for fishing some times but this amount is just darn pants..

Now ive had my moan i'll stay quiet!!!

I agree witht hat to a certain extent, such as when i'm packing up I hate rain. Other than that I honestly don't mind at all. Once I'm under a brolly or bivyv I'm fine. And there's nothing like the feeling when you've just had a heavy downpour in the middle of summer.

...Must just be me

Im talking more, 'life outside fishing.... we must all have one' I agree that its great under a brolly or bivey watching the lake etc, that i dont mind but for every day things its potential pain in the you know what!!!

i never seem to get many runs whilst it raining, though just after it stops seems a productive time.
Rain on the main capes lake used to be the kiss of death back in the mid 90,s not sure if its still the same?
