I was out last night, wrapped up well, for just 3 hours fishing, rods in at 7.30, out at 10.30.
No brolley, but there was no wind to worry about. The sky was crystal clear, beatiful.
This was on a lake where 4 or 5 years ago, the colder it was, the more I caught, anything between 3 and 11 carp,(that was an extended 4 hour session).
Unfortunately, most of the carp have now disappeared, but I did manage to catch one common of just over 18lbs.
I shalln't bother again though, having a quickie in the cold, better to stay all night. and then only when not working the following day.

....or maybe not, this night fishing is getting silly.

ps everything was white over and stuck to the ground. The fish and the water were quite warm by comparison.
