hi phil

personally i think there has to be something to it .theres to many other things in nature that react to the moon to ignore this (take eels and the full moon for example)

the moon pulls the sea and causes tides surely this same pull effects landlocked water like lakes and streams etc to if it effects salt water fish surely the same applies to freshwater to ??????????????

i find that runs waters cant be taken in to account due to the greater competition for food...............its more the tougher venues where you will see the results

i fished the bridgy in runcorn bout 6 years ago before i was using the moonstrike chart ,back then i went off old moores almanac. this was spot on the good days were the good days to go and the poor days were generally just that!!

poor

it works anywhere not just hard waters this applies to all waters

if the moon pulls a large hump into the sea ie "the tide" im fairly certain it must effect stillwaters in a similar way

It effects all liquids thats why you can float a needle/pin on the surface of a glass of water on the surface tension thats is caused by the moons gravitational pull on the liquid making it concave and not flat
