Default Google Earth

Has anyone used google earth to try and find local waters that you never knew about? Just had a quick look and there are quite a few ponds/lakes that I never even knew were there, they may not conatin any fish but still could be interesting to check out.

Noticed a massive one near hunters hill quarry near parbold, anyone know anything about this (pardon my ignorance if its well known)

Always use it pal.!! Just remember to not use a link if you want to keep a place quiet.!!
I nearly slipped up the other week and when you go through on the link obviously you can continue investigating the area. Its a shame you can not save an image to picture gallery.!!

Have a look at Redesmere thats no fairway in the shallows.

try this site Live Local Search if the lake you are looking for is in an area where you can get a birds eye view you can look from different angles.

Yep, live local is much better - and you can save any places of interest to collections and albums.

Does not keep crashing, either.

Also, no more guessing how far you can cast or how far away that island is, just find your favorite lake, pick an area you know well, then use the measuring tools to see that what you thought was 150yd + cast is actually only 85 yds!

Is it me or has something happened to the live local site?

It now seems to be multi-map driven?

Can't seem to log in either?

Since April 11, 2008 users logging in from the United Kingdom are directed to Worldwide map search, routing and travel directions from Multimap and are no longer able to directly access Live Search Maps.
