Default Marbury mere and Gt Budsworth mere ??

Is it me (daft old cooker) or are both these the same water

Marbury is on my Alty ticket (only fish boat yard pegs incl jettys)
Now moochin on Warrys ticket theres Budsworth mere opposite bank
to jetty (if these are the same water)
and if this is so can you share banks as this will make the idea of
attempting such a vast expance of water more palitable,
As though ive seen a couple of fish moving about the idea of only being able to fish a 200mtrs section of such a huge expance of water is beyond even me.

yes they are the same water but only northwitch and warrington have access to there side a bit daft if you ask me every club on there should have joint access to all the swims because it could become verey costly joining 3 clubs to fish 1 lake.

would have thought the country park end of the lake is where you would want to be near the lillies .but you cant fish that end unless your as member of marbury angling society ................... and then its boats only

often thought about fishing there myself ........ the sections warrington and northwhich have are pretty shallow .

dont know about carp that end of the lake but theres always reports of large bags of bream

the section warrington have is the deepest part of the lake where the fence is in the mere halfway along, it is shallow for around 20 yards and then drops down to around 18 feet, i have done some pike fishing on there and have only ever heard of one carp being caught that was only around 10lb. I would imagine the carp to be over the far side at the park end in the nature reserve part in summer, i have never even seen any carp and have no idea what stock is in there in terms of numbers, does anybody know?

Some people have an idea and if they are fishing it they aint gonna say, they deserve their rewards, if they are'nt fishing it out of respect for the lads who are they should keep their gobs firmly shut. Let those who want to know, go and fish it and find out the proper way.
