Cool Jolly Boys outing.. Help...with Location

Aye-up,

Me and some mates are going away this year, we travelled to the Hampshire Avon last year but the floods did not help matters as the carp were gouging on the millions of worms that were present. However due to that trip being a writeoff the missus let me go on the Trent (newark...near sugar factory) was good fishing even in flood.

However we are looking for a venue that can offer good river fishing and some good carp fishing, doesnt have to be all in the same location (doesnt have to be a river would just like some barbel fishing too), just close by each other. Looking for enjoyable fishing not specifically monsters, does anyone have any ideas.

Any help is appreciated, there will be around 8 of us.

Cheers JT

matey if its barbel and carp your after then i would have a word with cemex about the Burghfield complex.. you got the blue pool for the carp, and the river for the heft barbel.. see if they can do you a deal on some fishing on the river chucked in the price for the carp fishing

you could also look at the yateley complex as i know the blackwater holds barbel and chub.. whilst youhave a dabble on the lakes for the carp
