Obviously I'm not saying people won't help, they're just picky about who they help.

Average Joe is in a no win situation, if he doesn't know the area, or anyone around, he is limited as nobody seems to want to help a guy out anymore. So he fishes a well know commercial water, and what do you know, he gets hammered for it as soon as he mentions it.

How you can argue that point is beyond me.

And again, this hole in the ground you refer to, you still have your face on the front page of it's "taccy" website.

I'm confused. SimonS is slating the water yet his face is on the website, or, have I missed something along the way?

It's either him or he's taking the p155 out of the guy and decided to use it as his avatar.

Mutley, when it comes to asking for information, you have got to meet people half way. I wont go into what was wrong with the request the guy made. I suspect you know already. If you dont - I give up.

No, the avatar is not my face - Is your face the Wigan Warriors club badge ?
I thought it was an amusing image and in some way representative of the reason why I dont like fisheries like the one in this thread.

To you and your syndicate seeking friends, best of luck with your angling, wherever it may take place.

Could you please enlighten me as to what was wrong with the request the guy made, I'm still confused, I thought he was giving out some information, not making a request.
As to meeting people half way, you tell me where you are fishing and I'll come and show you how to catch carp - seems a fair swap to me, oh, and can you show me that avatar trick as I'm a bit of a ludite when it comes to computers.

Think your getting the wrong end of the stick. I was referring to the example given by Mutley - the one that says "anyone know of any sydicates (sic) in the northwest"

Thanks for the tuition offer. I think I'm okay on that score.

Another 5 mins of my life wasted reading a thread with people bitching at each other, over something so trivial, it actually becomes comical. Grow up lads, or get a room.

Now now lads different waters containing different fish for different people if we all liked ,wanted and needed to all had to have the same things on this planet the world would be a very sad place .

Some people like to fish comercial waters ,some can take them or leave them and others avoid them like the plague . If all carpers liked pinstripe suits we would all look a bit odd on a night out together even odder on the banks .

We all have different tastes and make our choices to please those different tastes .

If your choice is to play the waiting game on a low stock water for a certain fish then thats your bag go for it

If like me you like fishing mid stocked waters that contain a mixture of singles ,doubles,20s and a few 30s then that is the waters you fish .

But if you are just going out for a day sesh and want to get a bend in the rod then you go to a higher stocked water mostly doubles or a commercial water both of which can throw up a surprise .

If its the origins of the fish you are catching always remember Cyprinus carpio is not a native fish to this land and so therefore the strains we have here today all initially came from abroad

Fundamentally we all do what we want to do and make our own choices you have your personal choices please respect those choices of others . There are no wrong and right choices just different ones
