Salford Quays

Just been for a walk around Salford Quays. Seen a few bream, Roach and pearch milling around the top then, to my suprise, a carp sitting quietly on the bottom about 10-12lbs ish.

As luck would have it i had my gear in the car for a session on comstall later.

Poped a boilie in front of it but it wasn't having any of it.

Any one else fished here???

i'v not fished the queys but i worked there three years age, i used to go for walks every luch, i seen a few carp milling around! i even saw one crash near the blue crains one, it looked a low double,

good job you dont live near the canal in Sheffield towncentre....

the section up there by where i used to go and do training is alive with big carp... on lunch i used to have the filling of a baguette and then go and feed the carp on the top with the bread !!!!!

some big doubles and low 20's amongst them along with some mahooosive snotties

On the quays you should fish to the Impreza ledge about 20 yards out to the left, and on the right you have the Netto trolley margins..
The local baliffs are recognisable by the tracky bottoms and Elizabeth Duke chains. They will ask for the appropriate tax.
As for bait im told Mcnuggets and blue WKD glug are catching

Just had a walk round a few of the basins in the quays and saw a fair few carp.

Mostly doubles(some upper doubles though), all commons.

Saw one group of 12 carpies all together.

Gonna get a rod or two out when i get back from France
