Default gorsty and anther pool?

hi all
Just been reading about gorsty hall on the forum , I used to work as the
chef when larry, owned it , must say they where the best bosses i have ever had and have very fond memories of my time there,

It was dawn till dusk only then , but i was allowed to fish at night, I had my first 20lb and 30lb carp out of there, (belive me thay where there), not
sure what happend to some of the larger fish heard some where sold to a syindicate, when speciman lake was dug,

was thinking of going back for a session but reading the threads having second thoughts as anyone fished it latly or is it best to keep the memory of what it used to be?

there used to be a baliff called colin from talk pits area of stoke he took me fishing to a pool this pool had pike tench and some carp that where all 20lb fish do not no how many , this pool was close to a resivour witch contained pike and carp, have tried multi maps ect but not to sure realy where to look,
all i know its in stoke area not to far from talk pits , anybody know where i may be talkin about, pm if its hush hush ,
oh just thought is was not to far from a fantastic pie shop , if thats of any help,
any help would be very greatfull
thanks doughnut

I went to Gorsty once last year, I took a mate to let him get used to fishing with alarms.

First off I had a lad with an automatic air rifle shooting squirrels at the back of me, then parading them about like he'd just killed a lion.

Then 2 guys sit down no more than 5 yards to my right and commence to fish my swim, and recast every 15 minutes, making sure they set their alarms while they were still on every time.

The one of them starts blasting out happy hardcore on his phone.

Finally, a crappy boy racer fiesta turns up, opens the boot and starts blasting out music.

Oh, and on a side note, we had 3 fish to no more than 2lb combined.

So yeah, it was a great day out.

I never saw it as a carp water, a pleasure water with carp in was more like it. Good for fishing with a tip rod and getting 50+ fish out in a day, with the odd double thrown in.

I never saw any 20's coming out that were claimed to be in there.

This was all before the fish kill a few years back.
