Default Chorlton water park

I was talking to someone on the bank today who was telling me chorlton has been taken over, but didn't know wether they will be re-opening it again as usual, or making some changes to tickets etc

anyone know anything about this ?

I heard that a fishing club run by wythenshawe hospital were trying to get the rights to Chorlton and also that there were plans not to have any fishing on there at all and just run it as a nature reserve

Ah well thats Manchester city council for you handing off resposibility as much as they possibly can of all the waters within the city's parks i don't think they administrate/run angling on any of the fishable lakes/ponds whatsoever.
