Not sure Mat, I didn't realise there were 3lakes there.

A fella I knew 10-12yrs ago had permission to fish days
on the 'trout ressa' at Gailey.

He had a brace of 40's in his dinner hour lol. . . well,
fish to upper doubles is what he told me.

I'd assumed (maybe incorrectly) he was on about the
lake to the west of the motorway.

No he was teaching them kite flying . . .

I thought it was the elongated one of the left,
but I could be wrong, as I only thought there
was the two lakes . . .
I should have gone to specsavers

It's a bit disrespectful of us young northern wags slating a carp fishing legend.

A legend who had the first 40lb fish (an unknown fish...the previous record being 23lb) from Yew Tree lake on the Waveney Valley complex. Not only a new record but caught coincidentally in front of a video camera crew on a cold winter's night. The temperature a cool minus 5 deg. The bait on this occasion was floating crust.

belvide is probably the water that did a 40 common but its very difficult to get in to they hate cARP ANGLERS WITH A PASSION .its done some right kippers in the past .
