Has anybody been on merrington lately (last 2 weeks or so)

Heard of much coming out?

Not heard about the last two weeks but -

I fished Merrington once - lovely place well equipped.

On that 24 hour session only 3 out of 18 people caught.

I've heard on another forum that trading standards are investigating the place.

Someone said that they did 48 hours there and only 1 fish was caught and when he got home he phoned the farmer and asked how it had been fishing over the weekend and he said that it had been really good

farmer told me it was going to be stocked with 200 simmos and pike. Doesnt know anything about fishing because he said that I'll stock the pike because they will eat boilies aswell! I,m sure they would but I dont think many will get caught without a wire trace!!!!. Another worrying thing is that his daughter told me that she had never seen a carp caught there!!!!!

I know the forum you mean i think. Its all bull****. Got the **** cause no-one caught on there social.

Ive fished it a few time but not lately. Found it to be well run, clean, not full and there were a few nice fish caught to. The farmer said to me that he was planning on stocking pike to try and eat the carp fry, stop to many small ones coming through

Just after some recent catch reports. Seen the article in Cafty Carper which is fairly recent cause the simmos were in there and they had 9 (i think) each! Not too bad for winter
