I reckon that guy from Lakemore may get it,not many carp left in there, proberly 20 max.

It says on the advert at Stapeley that it has done carp to 40 lb,lol
correct me if i am wrong ,the lake record was 34+ caught in 2004 by Bungle. You are spot on Vern a fantastic water in its day.

Default Crabmill

A sad end to one of the most historic waters in the NW.

Rola cola is right it did say carp and cats to 40lb
Probably struggle to to get 40lb of carp if you weighed them all together

as one lake goes another comes as some of there other waters will be better than crab ever was in a couple of seasons time. personally i would get ur names on the waiting list now as by the time u get a ticket there waters will be well worth fishing.

The Cotton waters are looking good and are well worth fishing, but in my book none of the waters will replace Crabmill.

I was a member on and off since 1985, dropped out last year due to gaining membership to other waters.

Spot on Rola, none will ever replace history and atmos that crab had. Although cotton is a good water with some cracking fish it lost its flagship water and i think it will hurt them. The club must know this as they are offering current members who are thinking of dropping their ticket this year the chance of being put on a retaining list. By paying £10 they have first refusal of any places next year.

i thought the retainer was a good idea with cotton already established as a very good water i can't see the club having any problems, theres plenty of nw anglers more than willing to take the place of anyone who drops out

spot on marker, crab was a brilliant water but since fishing the cottons crab doesnt compare, the lakes on the cottons are beautiful and the fish are stunning also, and there weight aint half bad
