Fished it once early last year mate, had 15 fish to 5lb only 2 of those fish had lips, they should fill the place in with concrete.
You have to dip your net b4 you can fish it, although i would advise you to dip it on the way out.Its up to you buddy

As the "MANAGEMENT" says :YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Fished it about 6 times this year, number 2 lake has the biggest fish in it, my biggest to date is 17lb. However most are in poor condition and I do actually feel bad catching some of them as their mouths are totally battered. Number 2 lakes is about an acre at most, and has around 25 anglers on it when it's busy, it gets too crammed to cast out at any range. Most of my fish though have come right under my feet, I usually feed up two swims, one about 2o yards out, and one just under my feet and you can see the carp move in, I just lower the method in gently and you can actullay see them take the thing, it is a good site to see.

I fish the place with a feeder rod and method feeder and 10mm drilled pellets, you do get plenty on there with bite alarms etc, I just think it's complete overkill, I 've had more out each visit than anyone I could see using boilies and alrams etc.

Number 4 lake is a reasonable size, this lake does have a high stock of carp, mostly low singles though.

I would say in general it's a pleasure/match venue, any serious carp anglers expecting to turn up and find a serious carp fishery would be thoroughly let down. Number 2 and number 4 are the lakes to fish if you want carp. The place is full of idiots too, people who just let carp bounce around when unhooking them, people dropping fish, people shouting across the lake to a mate, I'm sure you get my drift.

One of the owners says a 25lb'er came out of number 2, the biggest I've seen is the 17lb'er I had out.

If you want to turn up and catch plenty of single figure fish with the odd low double thrown in, then you will be happy, that's if you can put up with the morons who reside there. If you want anything more, look elsewhere.

I think it's £150 for the year, for that you can fish nights. Day tickets are: £6.50 for one rod, £10.50 for 2 rods.

p.s the cafe is OK, nice bacon and egg

I didn't bother in the end.

I agree about the state of some of the fish, and the guys who run it don't seem to care one bit. The place needs to close for a few months at some time of year, so the fish can recover. However when it's a persons source of income, they will be loath to close the place.

As for the boilie ban, I've never heard of that, and the owners have seen me and plenty of others using boilies when I've fished it this year. He even suggested a few that get better results.
