Default Trap

Me and a mate fished it once, I had a few knocks on the method and my mate had one run but the hook pulled

Think there are a few carp in there but not sure how many or if there are any size or not.

Good luck.

We had a good look at the place year before last and considered joining until we saw the stupid stone age rules they`ve got going on there and it is very much a match orientatad water run by the local `old gits`.
We did see a few fish though, including one sexy looking ghostie that must be pushing 20lb and had some decent(?) info passed onto us by the self acclaimed "top rod" on there at the time, who confessed to catching at least six carp a year easy!! LOL LOL!!
Basicaly......
It is deep(in parts)......
it is easy.....
we were happy to walk away.

wow buckley trap what a blast from the past.

i used to fish this place years ago, never caught any carp though, but have seen plenty swim past under my rod tip.

ive seen a 19lb common come out in the early 90's, but i think these days the carp are mainly double figure and yes its deep, its an old clay quarry for buckley brickworks and is believed to be around 30 foot in places, but there are plenty of shelves where the carp feed, these average around 8/10 foot.

there also chub, barbel, tench, big bream and orfe, also a few pike...

thanks jaseface.

ive seen a couple on the bank, as i have said... you have seen a 19lb, they must be in there somewhere with some extra pound on them

ive seen a pair of young lads carp fishing it aswell as me the times ive been on.

it sees no/very little pressure from carpers, sounds good to me.

also found a map
