Default Winter run waters

Bolesworth Castle is well known for being a good run-water. i like the idea of always having a good chance of cathing a couple and i really like the place generally, plus i pulled 2 10lb'ers out over the weekdnd.

Sadly though, it shuts for a while end of this month, therefore from the other 'open' SOTAS waters, which one in your opinion is closest to a run water that I can try?. Not looking for a 5-day stint without bites or the biggest carp ever. Just a few runs so I can test my rig and try a couple of different baits.

Thanks

Days only or nights too mate??

There's a few day-only waters that will produce a run or two, although if you're wanting to go on longer sessions you may well struggle on the stoke ticket mate.

Try this mate...pool 5,6 & 7 used to be a ace rod bending water. U will catch in the depths of winter on this place.
