Hi there !

Going here for 24 hrs in a couple of weeks time for first trip.

Anyone been ? And have you any info regarding bait approach etc ?

Default merington

I've fished it 3 times and blanked every time, only ever seen one fish caught,stunning looking water but with low stock as yet, fish not really tuned in to anglers'baits and far too many coots on the water. No doubt will improve though.

Default Merrington

Merrington is very much a Maggie water mate,, if ya doing 24hrs take about 8 pints of reds,, works well. Best peg ( the one that i've seen produce alot of fish) as you arrive at the lake from the path theres an island infront of ya fish the first peg on the right and fish down towrds the stock pool about 4foot of the bank,, ye old farmer tends to bait up there whilst feeding the stock pool.
