ive just recently come back from boundry i fished the swim to the right off the house in that little bay(blanked) just loads and loads of bream i was speaking to people who fish there all the time they say low stock hard fishing lots of weed nearly reaching the surface, fish behind the weed the baliff said he had 5 takes but no fish on the bank his mate took a 20lb mirror. good luck.

Not fished the place but had a walk around a couple of years ago. Saw what I thought was a fish feeding on the top near to the reeds at one end only to find it was a turtle

Looked pretty big as well.

I last fished it when most clubs still enforced the traditional closed season and this place was still open. It gained my attention when Brian Garner tried to buy the place and form a syndicate. This being 1992ish.

All the regulars fished around the widest part of the lake close to the shop. Apparently this was the best area and was full of "bars"?

I went as far away from the crowds as I could and ended up in the most Northerly part of the lake where it narrowed off quite nicely giving you two carpy little corners of the lake.

Over about half a dozen sessions I took three carp and lost one. The bigest a 20.04 common, then a 17lb mirror which was a beauty and I have seen since in Carp Talk at around 26lb. The last fish was a 10lb mirror.

Not much granted, but very few fish came out in those days. I'm not saying it's a hard place just that the stock is a bit thin on the ground.

A nice clean, picturesque water. It would have made a good syndicate water if managed correctly.
