Just booked on for the Bank Holiday at Sandhurst. Anyone fished there this season???

Not been since last year myself, it was all maggots then.

Any info greatly appreciated.

I heard some idiot cockney fella who was well in your face munching on a bacon bap " giving it large" about maggots on there at the weekend mate, said he'd got 12 pints of them for his bait boat.

He was a proper spanner mate, Joe, Nige, Cliff and Chesh will back me up on that one

A few nice fish were caught on there, think chesh pictured a 34 for someone, good luck on there mate

Guy was a few maggots short of a pint i feel. Cracker came out to a lad called Dean on a boilie. Well down in weight at 34. If you PM i know a lad who is the baliff on there and he should be able to help you out, really nice guy.

Joe

I know mate, the water levels were really down, it takes all the fun out of island and margin fishing when the water is only 18 inches deep

Seems that low water is a problem all over. when i got back from france i went to my lake and it was 2 foot down. not good when one of the pools is only about 3 foot in places

I guess the upshot is that the fish are used to it, and will still feed, it's just that they may be on different spots...

not sure if you are still around or gone down already...

get on the swims around the pipes 30 and 31, the bailifs swim about swim 23,24 (big double swim) carp park swims are massively over fished so stear away from them!

fish at range.... 80 yards find the stream that runs through it jobs a goodun !

good luck matey... if sean the bayleaf is around he will give you all sorts of info.. all the bayleafs are pretty good though!

yep pictured a 34lb in this weeks anglers mail although the angler dean looks like he is entering the gurning championships hahaha
