backleads - because the last time I fished there it was packed! everone was casting over each other and I had to backlead and let 'em get on with it. (at one point a 3 ounce lead landed inches from my rods in my own margin!!)

Hopefully now winter's here that will be a thing of the past. Also I've always done better with backleads on there as I think the lake being so small the fish can be a bit line shy. I'm using the korda flying ones now..

You won't need a boat, honestly it really is a pond! The island can be reached at all of 10 yards! It's all margin work really. With the pads in the most central part being about 20 yards range max. Stealth and camoflage is the key I think. There are lots of interesting reedy corners to go at as well.
