Yeah its carp fishing gone mad from what I've been told by a couple of regulars.Such gems as being told where to cast in your swim by the owner, thousands of inch long baby carp from last years spawning and anaemic looking fish galore all for the bargain price of £25 per night...

Sounds like nothing I'd ever want to be a part of but it serves a purpose if nothing else in that it'll keep a few people from off my local pond...!

On the plus side you won't need a barrow cos you get personally escorted to your swim. They have a website if you search on google for further info,it has a quality 'sausage finger' gallery which left me in tears!

Heaven to some anglers, hell to others. But thats carp fishing for you

Don't let it put you off,go and try it out cos despite what I've heard about the place it is still up a lot of anglers street and they obviously enjoy going there-its just not a street you'll find me up!

With carp fishing becoming more popular than ever the sport needs places like this to accomodate the masses, but my idea of a decent carp water will be totally different to someone elses.

The place is young in terms of a fishery so in a few years may be bang on once matured but at present its all a bit too squeeky clean and perfect, little paths to your swim and landscaped banksides are not for me,alls thats missing from the place is a plug socket in the swim for your playstation/widescreen tv.I much prefer the overgrown wild waters with old classic looking fish in...anyone for cudmore...?

Fished it once about 2 yrs ago in the winter, had been open about 6 months. Is really small, each swim has it's own water but furthest cast anywhere is about 20-30 yds, most swims much less. Personally wouldn't do it again, had a very artificial feel to the place at the time and was very claustrophobic with only 3 on it. Think theres about 10 swims or so.

Probably looks much nicer now though, was no trees at all when I went. Saw one fish caught, very pale mirror about 17lb from the top end in a narrow channel. Bailiff takes your gear to the swim in a mini tractor, is about a 60 yd walk and by the time you've loaded the tractor you would be there anyway!
