i Have a good friend who takes his daughter here and does abit, and he's told me all about it and i've been for a nosy. Not the prettiest place in the world but probably has the best potential to throw up a surprise anywere in the north west, its got everything going for it in regards to fish growth. And when you say it doesnt look like a 30??? pah photo's can be very deceiving if the fellow who's caught it said its 30 then so be it, if it isnt then he's only cheating himself??? But i have seen a photo of the same fellow with another 30 common but this one LOOKS more like 40 i beleave it has some surprises it in there, just needs to be fished by the lads and the internet carpers should stay away if they dont fancy it

Rant over

All I'm saying is don't be so quick to dismiss the place as these thermally boosted lakes most definately grow fish on at an abnormal rate....time will tell I'm sure.

A very true statment Basil....there is a part of the River Thames next to Didcot Power Station that is fed by the warm water outfall, and, for those allowed to fish it, it turns out big carp all year round.... the water actually appears to have steam rising off it in the winter it is that warm...

Why am I being bitchy ? I know for a fact there are legit 30`s in there , I`ve seen em , but that fish aint one full stop , I can expose this fish and the captor , but why should I on an internet forum ??? Its not my duty to do so , so leave it there

WTF....just because someone from Lancs has an opinion about a fish/capture..... don't you Cumbrians have the required IQ for an opinion of ur own??

I figure that Lancashire's better off without you...:-)

LMAO Baitman....
Not quite pal...my father got seriously ill, so the prodigal son came home...;-)
Actually, I have a lot of close family in the Barrow area...maybe this is why we came to Lancashire....

I have spent a fair bit of time on the dock, and it's a great place to get your string pulled.
It's not the most scenic place
It is rammed with pasties.
There are lots of double, 20's and a handful of known 30's, but you have to work for the bigger fish.
The water is 150-160 acres depending who you talk to.
Quite a bit of it is unfished due to access.
It's a club water, with no day tickets and membership is full.
Surprisingly enough you can blank, but on the right day with the right method you can't keep 1 rod in the water for more than a minute.
