I took a walk around the main lake and Top pool at the weekend. I was suprised by how quiet the place was! there was only 2 ppl fishing it on sunday!

is the water not producing or something?

I couldnt believe how still and almost eery top pool was it looked like a realy moody water! dont think i would stomach a night on there in the dead of winter!

the builders arms pike fishing club(knutsford) had a match on there to (try) catch s many pike as poss, because they wanted some of the pike removed.i thought we were fishing the main lake?,but we fished the garden pool.S.O.T.A.S rule permit livebaiting, but the builders rules dont allow us(testicles,i know).8 of us fished and 7 pike were caught, biggest 11lb 8oz.match was won with just over 20lb.if we had livebaited,i,m sure we would have nailed it.
