Good to see a few people out today and a few pike caught. Did the fish get moved to Redes in the end?

After a quiet few hours on the garden today pool with just one jack this morning (if I'd been in the match I would have won smallest fish) I headed over to Redes for a few hours this afternoon...... and blanked!!!!!

Which peg were you fishing Peter? I probably said hello to you at some point today.

Mike.

i was fishing peg 4.as i was setting up,a pike swirled in front of me,but wouldnt have it.not one fish caught on lures.most of the fish were caught on float fished smelt.the object of the match was to catch as many pike,so they could be moved to redesmere, our club should have let us catch some livebaits (dinosaurs).we were told we ere fishing the main lake, but when we got there, told the garden pool.i had no pod with me,only banksticks(not happy).got to take your hat off to SOTAS for allowing members to livebait on their waters(if caught on the same water of course)too many clubs run by dinosaurs nowadays

Peter,

I managed to sneak one out on lures from the opposite bank to you, but it was not much bigger than the lure.

For info, you were actually fishing the 'main' lake. Both sides of the bridge are classed as the main lake - the bridge divides it into two; the garden pool (which you now know well) and the park pool, which is the more 'natural' of the two halves of the lake.

Glad you approve of the SoTAS livebait rule but, for me, it's not a tactic I'm happy to use (but that is a different thread entirely, so we'll leave it there!).

Mike.
