lake in gorton

after some info on a lake in gorton .My father in law said about 30 years ago prince albert had about 3 or 4 lakes in the area .Had a look round yesterday and found 1 that was still there behind the tip off mount rd any one got any update info on the place .looked proper run down was a bit of a tip to be honest just wondered if any one had any more info on the place .there was some kids fishing and they said there is still carp in there but i dont know any info would br great

is it called wingate?

if it's that one, it's on a Levenshulme anglers ticket.

£28 for a senior ticket + £10 joining fee.

Trawled the internet but their website doesn't seem to work anymore???

I really cant see anyone paying for it all the pegs are smashed up a couple of kids were on there and they said noone comes round checking tickets or anything .

its 2 mins walk from in laws and sometimes neglected places can throw a few surprises just didnt want to be fishing it and taking the father in law till i had abit more info about the place .

I'd be careful of the "wildlife" round there though, tend to have sticky fingers.
