I hear you and braidman were caught sharing a sleeping bag on there one night. Its that sort of homo-erotic behaviour that stops me having a dabble.

Its a shame because we havent got any decent runs waters like that up here.

Thought that Matt's post would have upset you more Braidman, a bit of a Jeckyll and Hyde character maybe

I'm a bit shocked to read all this nonsense where Conningbrook is slated as a runs water and a doddle to catch from. You lot have not got the faintest idea what is involved in angling at that level and have certainly not fished there as nobody has stuck their hand up and said 'yes, i've fished there'
And what about all the disrespect being shown to what is the British record, Two-Tone, a fish that isnt a wrongun as suggested but a Bona Fide British record. A fish that deserves more than being called a mug fish.
So it comes out 3 maybe 4 times a year, thats because some of the best anglers in the country are pestering that fish to distraction. It only has to fart and them lads or on it/them, the fish get no peace at all.
The anglers fishing the Brook are certainly not muppets either. As I said these are some of the countrys best anglers. Lads who have caught fish that are the stuff of legends, not some 40 common from a poxy 2 acre pond in Stoke for instance, how hard must that be to catch, no harder than the carp in my garden pond maybe..

Finbar, I think you need to take it all with a pinch of salt. Its all been posted in the same contemptuous manner as the initial post.

That 40lb common in that 2 acre pond is not quite as easy as it sounds I dont think, just my opinion

You're way of beam Finbar, the lads are just having a crack.

CNAT has popped up out of nowhere and baited a trap in the hope of getting a bite, and those who can see his post for what it is are just pulling his chain in return - it's called humour.

Don't take it too seriously.
