Braidman,

The way that Now and Then has come onto the forum and started this thread off - its asking for touble in my eyes.

He's trying to get into an argument about Conningbrook, obviously this is what he has signed up for as he has hardly made any contribution to the forum - in my eyes he's trying to give it 'the big i am', to be honest we dont need any more members that want to start arguments.

I arnt saying that Now and Then isnt welcome to the forum - im just stating that you are hardly going to get a good response when you join the forum and have this thread as your first post.

Good look on Conningbrook mate - Im sure you are very proud to be a member of such an amazing syndicate in Kent - myself, id prefer to stay 'Up North' on the Cheshire/Shropshire mere's.

Chris

Sorry braidman, but in my opinion you are completely wrong. Of all the people that have contributed to this thread, absolutley everyone (myself included) has judged it to be nothing more than a poor attempt at trolling, with the intention of stirring up hassle on the boards (arguably, not dissimilar to you slightly sour-sounding post above).

With respect to 'Carp Now and Then' if this was not his intention, then I offer my apologies. However, the fact is that everyone on this thread has read the original post and judged it to be utter garbage and has responded accordingly.

Regrettably we can only read what is put in front of us, so if the original poster was asking a genuine question then maybe phrasing it differently and slightly more sincerely would have been helped. I would ask Carp Now and Then to please take this constructive criticism on board if he is serious about contributing to the forums (and, as a new member, I sincerely hope he is - it is always nice to see fresh faces round here).

Best wishes,

Mike.

I reckon that Two-Tone could be a wrong 'un, it certainly looks Gallic...

As for being a hard fish to catch then I'm sure if you camp on there long enough it will hang itself on the end of your 4oz bolt rig within a season or two....

Or maybe you could entice her into the margins by calling her name and then when she's troughing that kilo of strategically placed Mainline you could tickle her belly (trout style) and haul her in that way...

I think this guy is just trying to stir up trouble or he has just got his ticket and is letting the world Know!! Pointless thread with no meaningful input from its author.

Where’s that Nescafe hand shake smiley when you need it???

i wouldnt mind a photo with the long common but ill never fish for it firstly because my body would hate me forever if i even touched a drop of shandy! and more recently because carp now n then must fish their and i dont fancy a 3 hour drive to a lake with more weapons than the taliban!
