Some of you have had some different things to say and I have learnt from your comments, but others in my eyes are complete and utter muppets and are probably bait boat users you know who you are.
I did not start this thread to put my self forward as a hero because i am not i am just an average angler with a goal.I started this thread to try to stop poeple slagging off all angling achivements just because they can.
To be honest, I couldn't give a crap who fishes where, fish for yourself and not the respect of others, who seriously cares where you fish? I no I don't, you could fish Conningbrook, or your back garden pond, it means nothing to anyone else but yourself. You need to stop worrying so much about what others think.

To a neutral like me, your first post warranted you being slated to death, as you came across as a complete tw&t, and you got the response I would expect.

with, thanks for ALL your comments, then in the next breath their Muppets!!
He does'nt get it,he came on this forum with his chest out,and was met with
what i could say was good return fire. This forum is full of top lads(sorry +Bet)
who love their sport and love what goes with it.If CNT does'nt come on this forum anymore it would be no loss, only his own because he could of made some good freinds, with the right approach.(truth/rant over).

Funny you should mention fishing in your garden pond...there are one or two high profile anglers that had their 1st 40 from a garden pond....

We have diversified the original direction of this thread was about some suppose-ed southern shandy slurper giving us all a slating for some reason about a water 210 miles away which also costs £350 a year to fish . so if we take an average of 30 miles to the gallon for cars on a long run /motorway and add on say 40 miles for other stuff on the trip = 450 mile round trip that is 15 gallons of fuel for the trip at roughly £5 a gallon that is £75 just for the fuel to get there and back .

Therefore if you went twice a month covering the old open coarse fishing season that would be 9 months x 2 = 18 @ £75 for fuel .

Cost of ticket £350

Cost of fuel £1350

I can imagine what my Mrs would say if i told her we could on go on holiday once or not at all next year because i am going to be spending
£1700 on going down sarf and fishing a Shandy drinkers water but could have a chance of banking a biggy possible british record . Oh and i will also be away every other weekend and that £1700 does not include either food or bait .

Her reply would be

"live in yer bivvy we are going to be having a "

D-I-V-O-R-C-E.

However dont believe or presume that just because someone is harping on about some Southern shandy drinkers water and championing that waters cause .That he comes from down there he could possibly come from up here and be trying to stir shti up on the forum .

There have been a few who have registered a 2nd membership after being banned under a different name but still used their old email address and others though not banned have 2nd registered have also been daft enough to include their surname in their registration email address even though using a different registration IP

Is more like 280 miles from where I live Stig, can't quite do it on a full tank of £60's diesel. My ticket is a bit more as well.

Pity that it was someone using an alias again as I could have dropped by on my way past when I'm next fishing down there, as I do fish in Kent quite regularly rather than pretending to.
Which is why I knew CNT didn't fish down there because it is easy, and a decent northern angler would have caught more than one fish

Will await CNT's next alias with baited breath.
And maybe his mate's next alias as well.

Sorry mate Julian does not allow us to have 2nd memberships/aliases as both he and i see it as unethical to be breaking rules with one hand meanwhile enforcing them with the other
