Default Barston lakes

hi guys anyone fished this place i am doing a job in solihull for 4 weeks and instaed of staying in digs i am gonna book on here take away my rods and pod during the day and just leave the bivvie up. I know the public walk round but whats the feeling on the place

any info would be appriciated

i know saw the web site but its the only place near to solihull i can find as i am coming down from scotland .

To be fair it does look a nice lake that is well kept.Its not an out and out Big Carp water and does seem to cater for match anglers as well, hence the picture of carp spread all over the shop on the floor in nets

I'd give it a bash as theres probably some decent fish in there some of them on gallery look over 20 and nice fish.I wouldnt plan on getting too much kip though for work as you'll probably be having busy nights

If you intend to try and sleep it's probably not the best place as its close to a main railway line and flight path for Birmingham airport!!

It seems to be targeted more for match anglers but there is an area at the far end of the road bank (LHS from the clubhouse) that is off the main paths that are used quite a lot by walkers etc.

yea does look targeted for match anglers but i think there is a fish in there called the scar at 30lb but will give it a bash just worried about my gear during the day thats all.
