What harm are people actually doing at nite? Is it more to do with a insurance problem?
Why are you aloud to fish in the day but not at nite what is so different about nite time fishing? Except there is no sunlight. What can be done in the night that can't be done in the day?

Mate. I don't mean to sound rude i'm not a rude person. But your been a bit of a plonker.
I only asked what the problem was with doing nites I was kind of looking for a sensible answer not a smarmy comment to try and belittle someone.
Whats the point in your comments here exactly what you trying to acheive. I never said I do nites on poynton. No one has.

Its irrespective of why night fishing is not allowed fella, the bottom line is its in the rules so until another club take control or the commitee have a change of heart then rules is rules. Aside the fact of course that the residents complain of excessive noise after dark from 'the anglers' which may have something to do with it, even though you'll get non angler chavvies doing likewise.

Its like everything else, rules are brought in due to a minority percentage causing problems which induces policy. Good anglers don't need the night to catch anyway, just a couple of hours in the afternoon....

The water doesn't need someone to get a grip of it, it's well looked after, clean, litter free, yes maybe a few anglers break the rules by night fishing, but on the flip side these are the anglers that will keep the place tidy

you would love to kick people off??? Do you live in the bungalow Chris

So you dont think that Old People have a right to peace and quiet in the evenings? Obviously there is a no Night Fishing rule for a reason - Could that reason be that there are houses nearby???. It amazes me that there are rules in place and people just openly flaunt them! I for one would have no sympathy if the Council Shut it down filled it in and moved the fish on and the phrase " Well you asked for it " or "Enough Rope " springs to mind.

If you have ever fished there you would know what i mean.
Im not just refering to them complaining about the night fishing as i can see there point.
But i can assure you the local residents are getting peace & quiet at the night because i bet the lads on there aint exactly going to be shouting all night are they?
What i mean is they complain over the most stupid things.
For example, in 2006 i had a fish on & it managed to get snagged up so i waded out to try and free the fish of the snag & the people in the bungalow came out into there garden & started taking pictures of me.
They then gave the pictures of me to the bailiff & started moaning to him because i was wading.
Do you not think this is a bit petty

I can see your point yeah that was definatley petty but they are probably sick of their requests to stop the night fishing falling on deaf ears when they complain to the Club or Council. I think it would make better sense for night fishing to be allowed by the Council and that way the Anglers are happy and can get the best from their session and at the same time give an undertaking to the residents that it will be controlled correctly then they are happy. But I suppose the Council are like all the rest of them in the Country and are useless!
