Question Dutton Flashes

Hi, newbie here...

I was wondering whether anybody still fishes the flashes or indeed the small farmers pits scattered around the flashes?

I used to fish them many years ago, and the Carp in there were great, a range of sizes etc... But its been a while since I have fished, so was wondered what its like there and whether you could still fish the small pits by paying the farmer a few quid?

Thanks

Andy

Hi mate ..

One of the places i learnt to carp fish the flashes so i have fond memories ... i dont think ICI (now Weston anglers) have it anymore .. but im sure if the farmer 'Herbie' is still alive you'll be able to slip him a few quid and have a fish ..

Good luck ...

Pass over it regular on the old choo choo. Always full of litter & often scallies.
A mate of mine was in it a few years ago & was told any big fish you catch, tell the farmer & he'll give you £'s to move them to his private pond...

Theres not much round Runcorn fella ... i used to fished the flashes , sandymoor , town park lake , the canal , rocky pit .. thats about your lot for carp !!

Alot of the bigger ones (upper doubles / low 20's) were stolen or died ...

Frodsham marshes is just down the road on the Manc ship card .... bit bleak down there though ..

theres plenty of commercials springing up just outside the town .. off the A49 youve Greenwoods fisheries and Brookside pools ... abit further afield theres Lloyds meadow in mouldsworth , Tarvin sands fisheries .. just google them .. ideal for some one just getting back into angling ..
