Anyone been recently?

How busy has it been during the week? and more importantly has anything been coming out?

a few of the fish that are coming out are full of spawn. phone Elaine to ask her what the score is with it.

It's been rammed so the fishing has probably been a bit slow.

Time to drop in quietly with a couple of bags or singles I reckon... had plenty like that out of there one Spring.

a workmate has just done 3 days on there,every peg was rammed and only two fish came out all weekend,both at a hefty weight of 6 lb.

Was so much more fun before they put the Simmos in there.

I averaged 4 bites an overnighter with those lovely Wellington commons and mirrors, all between 18 and 24lb, the one Spring (06 i think). Beautiful carp. Had a couple on a winter session with Frank Warwick as well. He had a mid-20 himself!

Better still, because less was getting caught in those days, there was less pressure and it was a more enjoyable place to be.

Everyone just used to use maggots. So when you went along and used something else it was pretty productive
