Could we have a section where all these lovely photos from perople like j go so we can have them in glorious hi res for my wallpaper.... as long as the copywright owner gives permission?

In short, yes.

Currently developing new gallery software now which will bolt onto the forum and allow us all to have personal galleries, and I'll set up various others for waters, etc.
