The little picture on the left hand side which tells me if theres new psts in a particullar thread is lying to me.

It tells me theres new posts when there isn't and if i log off for a bit and then come back on theres loads marked new posts which i've already read?

This happening to anyone else?????

mmmmm.... I've just logged back on and theres not loads of "unread" ones anymore but if i read a post and go back to the main front area it still tells me there unread

Is that cos you're clicking back,cos I get new pm alerts for ones that I have already opened if I click back instead of refreshing the page.

its been happening to me too, i just click 'mark forums read' at the very bottom of the forum sections

No i click "Northern Monkeys" at the top right of the page to go back to the main screen

On mine its just above the google adverts at the bottom of the page.

Will take a look, but it could be the way you are reading them as it's not happening on mine - might be a cookie thing when you log out?

the 'new posts' link on the navigation bar at the top of the page is useful too, if you click it you just get a list of threads that have new posts in that you haven't read
