forums locking up

not sure but i think the site has some bugs i use 2 different computers at home and in work and both seem to lock up A LOT when i'm trying to open threads and i keep having to close internet explorer this only happens on this site ???????????

sometimes on vb these things happen but it does'nt effect admin and mods there extra setting seem to overide it (just incase you think its ok because its fine for yourselves )

reported i was having a problem on the 16th would be nice to have some kind of acknowledgement even if its just a we'll look into it type reply

Am looking into it but as of yet cannot find any problems may have to refer it to a higher power AKA Julian

When you log in, click the 'remember me' box and you'll stay logged in indefinitely

Sorry CJ, been tied up with the kids for a few days - whole family's got colds since coming back off hols.

Can't see anything wrong, and have tried on a few different pc, in both admin and normal member guise.

Elton was talking about doing a few updates to VB so I'll check there's nothing there.

cheers jules its happening quite a lot as i mentioned on my work pc and home pc and there both with different providers and its not happening on any other site i go on

I use two different PC's - one is a laptop running Vista (SP1) using T-mobile's 3G mobile broadband network during the week and one running XP (MCE-SP3) via normal "broadband".

I have almost no problems with the forum and less than many other sites (including my email)!! The only thing the systems have in common (other than me) is that I use Firefox (2) not IE.

i had a similar problem that i put down to firefox mate.... i changed to a older version(1.7 i think) and it works fine .. tried firefox3 that was even worse than version 2 .

When clicking onto this forum only the computer locks up.This has happened a dozen times over the last two weeks.I have no problem with anything else.Hope this helps.

it does!, do you clear all your private data and cookies, and internet history after you have finished with the comp??(so the missus doesnt see what sites youve been browsing) maybe thats why mate
