Default Bolton Pike

Can anyone recommend a good Pike water in or around Bolton that's fishable on a day ticket.
I'm thinking of a return to Piking this winter and will be taking my 9 yr old twins lads with me, so I want somewhere that's going to produce a good amount of action with the chance of a few doubles and the possibility of a 20 if we're lucky.
Any advice would be greatly received.
Thanks
Kev

Cheers mate.
Thanks for replying.

I've noticed 'silure' posted a thread recently asking for info about Jumbles. One reply stated it is a hard water but there's a chance of a big fish.
This put me off the place a bit 'cause I'm after plenty of action to keep the kids entertained. If I'm averaging 2 or 3 fish a session (even if they're mostly singles), my lads will want to keep coming with me. If I'm blanking regularly, they're soon going to lose interest.
Also, someone else made a comment on the same thread, stating that silure was passing a better water on his way to Jumbles. Any idea ??

Cheers
Kev

Thanks for all your replies.
I think I'll give Jumbles a try as it's much closer to where I live (Ringley)
Can I buy day tickets on the bank or do you have to get them in advance from a local tackle shop ?
Cheers
Kev

i just turned up,expecting to pay on the bank, but no one turned up to take the money.i fished the "pikers wall" pegs, its quite snaggy.i had 1 fish, about 6lb and missed a run.both on smelt.its full of course fish and i think you can livebait if caught on the water.there are some monsters in there and if it was a bit nearer to me,i,d be on there most weekends

Horrockses flash was last owned by Wigan aa. free fishing now though.
Metro controlled now. Very few people fish it these days.

Its a water we could loose to angling as it seems the twitters want nearly all the flashes for them selves.

Default Jumbles

It's £4 a day on the Jumbles, you have to buy the ticket in advance(Tonge Moor Angling) sell them. It seems they are getting quite strict on the ticket situation especially at the weekends. I know several doubles have been out in the last week or so and there have been some monsters out in the past.
