I know i'm not in the 'click' but surely you yourself as an angler dont want to be seen condoning such a brutal act as the mindless murder of an innocent coypu.
By deleting mine and leaving the other you are nothing but an accessory, and I thought you had more about you, obviously i was wrong....

And just to keep the thread on track heres a pic of a lovely little mouse I became quite friendly with on a session last year.
wow wow wow!!!!!! Finbar where are you getting your story from? `mindless murder`, etc etc and should never cast a line again????? bit overboard considering you dont know what happend. Do you work for the Sunday sport??(no pun intended)

I have apologised and do so again for posting THAT PIC, bit sick of me and not in character with all the other pics on this thread, learnt my lesson big time.

That coypu caught itself on the hook whilest diving on my baited area out in the lake, juring the night as these critters do! It was played in 100 yds, thought it was a bream at first. It had hooked in its leg and it was obviously knackered/broken and splashing around in circles in a mess!!!! not able to get away if it wanted too!!!
Do I- a. man handle the thing and risk getting bit!!! then wot take it to the French vets????
b. cut the line and leave it go its own way, with a knackered leg and hook in place?
c. finish it off as quick as poss?????
I did the latter, maybe i was wrong!!!???

So there you go.... do you realy think i was running up and down the bank after coypues waving a bank stick, who do you think i am- Carl bloody Lewis!!!!!

Mindless murder??? I dont think so!!!

Mate you should take finbar`s comments with a pinch of salt.
Youve made a mistake (by that i dont mean killing the coypu , i mean posting what you did on a public forum).
Youve said sorry & im sure you did what you did with the best intentions & not to be cruel

Snapped these two in france last year. you cant see from the pic but the Caterpiller was about 5 inches long, not something I'd want to find in my sleeping bag at 4 in the morning.

Blue - as I've said on previous threads, I really like that shot. You must be a really, really skilled photographer to capture that moment and one who knows just what equipment to use to get the optimum results - tell me again what camera were you using???

Mike.
