Default Old Films(SLR)

I had a clearout the other day and came across around 30+ old films which i never had developed from a few years ago.

Has anybody had any old films developed before? as i dont really want to waste cash on getting them developed if they are no good.

How long do Slr films last?

cheers

I do know that SLR films have an expiry date on them!?
It could be worth calling someone at say Boots and speak to someone in the Photo Development beforehand.

I think i will try and get a couple developed first, some must be from around 2000 to 2004, and i aint 100% what is on the films.

i found a roll of film in an old forgotten camera last year, i sent it to be developed and it came out fine, the film contained carp captures from 1995
