Failing miserably at uploading vids of fish to photobucket..because my HDD camera records in .MOD which is not recognised as a format..

Have got windows media player to play them but again they will not load to MWM or photobucket..any techy types on hand with any ideas.

You need to convert the video using a free converter (theres loads on the net) go on google.

Did you manage to sort it out? I read somewhere that .MOD files are JVC'S version of an mpeg2 file. As far as I know, you can literally change the extension, from a .mod to a .mpg. And the file should play fine.

Hi Chris.....Tried that first (swapping the file extentions) first but still wouldn't let me upload to photobucket....but have a program now to convert to mpeg2 files for export but the footage becomes really pixelated.....I think it has some finer tuning options which may improve the quality but do not have time to look into it at the mo.
