Oh yes... rat snakes, black snakes, copperheads, rattlers, and for you spider lovers, wolf spiders and black widows etc.... lovely stuff!!

Luckily, I've never encountered anything scary.... just the odd beaver here and there!!

Its getting there mate, slowly but surely... the ex-pats like me are spreading the word, and there's great organisations such as the Carp Anglers Group http://www.carpanglersgroup.com and the American Carp Society http://www.americancarpsociety.com

Also, the 2005 World Carp Championships were held here last year on the St. Lawrence River in New York, and that helped a lot.... I fished it, and had a wicked time!!
