Default Awsome beasty on top pool

Found this awsome beasty on top pool .....nearly 6 inches long! and as thick as your finger

Its an elephant hawk moth caterpillar ..............Deilephila elpenor

Excellent Pic mate, we used to find loads of these when i fished the canal as a kid some were a brown colour with a big thorn on there back.

camera used was a 1.3million pixel sony cybershot! with a macro setting

on some digicams (not so many nowadys) there is a picture of a flower as a setting.........this is a macro close up filter.........once activated it allows the camera to focus on things from inches away
