Question are you using compacts or slr digital. Some of yours Julian look to good for compacts

All mine above have been taken on my Fujifilm S304 Digital (non SLR)

. I know what you mean about SLR quality, but having always used SLR's previously I've just taught myself how to get the best out of the S304, which it has to be said is a quality digital with excellent zoom, although I would dearly love a digital SLR but can't afford at the moment. Manual focus on digital.... drool
