Default The next England manager

I hate Manure- - no secret there
I laughed at monkey Boy breaking yet another tarsal, anything negative that happens at manure I laugh at – If manure were playing the Taliban eleven I would not want Manure to win

I am a life long blue nose, a woolly back born in Cheshire & support Everton
I sometimes wish I hadn’t been taken to watch Everton as a kid but I was (some would say it was child abuse) but there it is

But & here’s the but

Even when he played for Manuure I might have professed to hate him but deep down I couldn’t - - Even through my blue eyes I could see his talent & personality.
Even today I can see him running down the wing, stop & cross on a sixpence – he was the best & even when he retired with an injury I did not gloat or laugh -- it was a loss to football

Give Steve Coppell the England job
He’s English, articulate, clever & nice with it

harry redknapp. he'd be my choice. top coach, makes top teams and deserves the chance to show what he can do. i cannot understand why his names never in the frame for the top jobs as his track record is brilliant.wish he was still at the mighty hammers.

Harry Redknapp was one of the managers suspected of taking a bung, so would guess the FA will stay clear.

Don't think Steve Coppell would want the hassle, has buckled under pressure in the past, think with Palace

Is a struggle to name an English manager with a good track record or one possibly up for the job, what about Alan Curbishley? If not English than Martin O'Neill perhaps.

Personally don't rate McLaren, maybe a coach or no.2 but not a manager. How does he keep that shredded wheat balanced on his head

Steve Maclaren will be the last English manager of the National team.. get another foriegner in... Definitely not Martin O'neil. Someone that buys Melon head and ego joker from west ham despite being bank rolled by a yank needs seriously looking at!

in my opinion, Cappello, Hiddinck or Mourinho should be givien the job.. someone who can handle the macho images.. and not afraid to drop star players if they are underperforming

not a poor premiership manager like Oneil.

i personally feel that we will qualify for the euro's but i think that the mcclaren should still be given the boot for making such a balls up of the campaign on the way. he's been involved in the set up for 7 years and i feel that the players aren't inspired or motivated by him and that he's tactically inept. i feel we should make the change as soon as possible.

curbs would be a no no for me. he's hardly set the world alight with us and our style of play is negative to say the least. i wouldn't want to see another foreign boss. it's too easy to say that they lack the passion that an english manager would have and they can't want it as much as an english bloke.

harry redknapp has been as success virtually everywhere he has gone. he turned us from a yo yo team to an established premiership side pushing for europe. when he left 2 years later we were gearing up for the fizzy pop league. pompey were a side struggling to stay in the championship and he's made them a side pushing for a champions league side now. when he left guess what. pompey nearly went down.

He also commands respect from his players and they look up to him. when he left west ham lumpa lampard soon went and players like di canio weren't anywhere as effective as the were under him. he signed merson at pompey and he transformed from a player on his last legs with plenty of personal problems to player of the year in the championship. merson said in an interview that "harry's only thought of as a wheeler dealer, but he knows how to get the best out of a player and tactically he's up there with the best i've worked with."

I can't believe that when talk of a new england manager comes along he's never once mentioned in the media or by other footballing sources. it's a travesty that one of the best managers in the last 10 years with a wealth of knowledge in the premier league and with experience in managing at top flight level is never once considered in shortlists. i'm sure he would jump at the chance and would be a success at it. it'll pain me when sad mac goes and the usual suspects, hiddink,o'neil and possibly shearer, will be banded around as the next future manager and again i will care little at our primaddona filled england squad who's big time charlies think that they have the god given rite to walk into the england team just because they earn vast wages and think that they are better than they actually are.

McClaren got his "get of jail" card, let's hope the players can show the kind of passion that the Scottish team showed last night and make the most of a second chance.

Must be gutting for the Scots, any other group and with that team spirit and passion they would have been in the top two, England make a balls of it and can still qualify

Hopefully!

May be Stuart Pearce in the future, he may give the lads a kick up the ass, when others wouldnt.

Stuart Pearce and Alan Shearer teaming up might be interesting.. very little in the way of top flight Internationals management but a hunger and desire to win!

Big Sam? nah.. he cant even keep an injured Michael Owen happy so what chance has he got of keeping the rest of the England squad happy.

I was dissapointed in Steve Macs decision to drop Gareth Barry in favour of an inform Frank lampard for Austria... and what happens? the team loses it shape in the middle of the park.. bring back Barry or Hargreaves and drop Frankie Lampard.. Croatia wont be able to stop the surging stevie G then!

as for manager though it needs to go to someone with proven International/big team credentials... Mourinho or Capello would be my ideal choice

I applied for the job but they said as i had played in goal for my primary school team i knew far to much about football and may make a half good job of it which is not in keeping with being an England football manager
